Waldo Showcase his art at the Milander Center for Arts and Entertainment! The gallery theme is honoring the Cuban poet and hero Jose Martí

A work by the photographer and plastic artist Waldo Arias
based on The Indian Ruins
There would be no sadder and more beautiful poem than the one that can be drawn from American history. You can’t read without tenderness, and without looking like flowers and feathers in the air, one of those good old parchment-covered books.
Waldo reflects the abandonment and impoverishment on the island cast in Martí’s classic story.
You can see more about his work on his site www.havanacity.us

The Stone & The Pupil

“NITEN, UN CREADOR QUE SE ATREVE A DESAFIARSE” – Revista El Puente –

“WAALDESIGN, SU FOTOGRAFIA Y ARTE DIGITAL COBRAN VIDA TRIDIMENSIONAL” – Portal SEE ME –

This exhibition is a retelling of 60 years of Cuba turning away from the world. These Pictures have been taken from the 90s all the way to today and you will still have the sensation that you are in the 1950s. Many of these buildings, cars, and people still exist against the corrosion of the Caribbean Sea.

Havana and its people still keep moving. Even though almost everything is demolished it still has its magic. Cubans are inspired by the colors and beauty despite being in a devastated city. My hope is to have better future freedom while conserving the colonial architecture and the Cuban thing A journey through a city frozen in time.
