Art Takes New York is an art competition and exhibition organized by See.Me, a platform that connects artists with opportunities and exposure. The competition invites artists from around the world to submit their work for a chance to be featured in a large-scale exhibition held in New York City’s Times Square. The competition includes various categories such as painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, and winners are selected by a panel of judges. The exhibition typically showcases the work of hundreds of artists and is viewed by millions of people passing through Times Square.
On June 18, 2012 the works of Art Takes Times Square were displayed on some of the most iconic billboards in Times Square, transforming the crossroads of the world into an immense display of art. The street was flooded with artists, art lovers, friends and family from all over the world, brought together by this spectacular celebration.
